I have always been active. I may not have been an elite athlete but I never wanted to say "no" to something because I wasn't fit enough!
Looking to improve my performance in various sports - in particular rock climbing, I became more interested in body movement and fitness, leading to the start of my formal fitness journey.
I qualified as a Fitness Instructor (Level 2) in 2001 and to learn more about movement and what limits how the body functions, I continued my studies, leading to my sports massage qualification in 2006 and then my Advanced Fitness Instructor /Personal Trainer qualification. Over 20 years on, and I continue to study and learn and the to apply this in my practice.
MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE. By moving we improve both our physical and our mental wellbeing. Every step we take improves our long term health outcomes and lays the foundation for an active and more fulfilled future - whatever life throws in our way.

MY EXPERIENCE. I am a qualified level 4 Sports Massage Practitioner and Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instruction / Personal Trainer. For your peace of mind, I have up-to-date emergency first aid training and I am fully insured, with Professional Liability Insurance - covering both sports massage and fitness activities.
SPORTS MASSAGE. I have been a LEVEL 4 Sports Massage Practitioner for over 15 years and am registered with the Sports Massage Association (SMA), the only entirely independent professional association for the Sports Massage Professional in the UK. The SMA establishes and maintains minimum standards for sports massage training. My SMA registration number 1578. the sma.org
FITNESS INSTRUCTION. I was awarded my first fitness instructor Level 2 qualification over 20 years ago and later, in 2013, qualified in Personal Training (Level 3). ON-GOING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. I take a professional approach to my massage and fitness disciplines. I enjoy learning and continue to study - broadening and improving my skills - over the last 5 years with a particular focus on the older adult and rehabilitation post injury/operation. This education keeps me up-to-date with current thinking and ideas in fitness and massage.
